沖縄科学技術大学院大学の学長選考 招聘を支援
当社は、このたび沖縄科学技術大学院大学（仮称）の学長選考を支援することになりましたのでお知らせいたします。
同大学院大学は2009年７月10日に公布された「沖縄科学技術大学院大学学園法」に基づいて設立される大学で、世界最高レベルの研究・教育水準を誇るグローバルな科学技術研究機関となることを目指しています。現在、同大学の設立を目的とする独立行政法人沖縄科学技術研究基盤整備機構において、2012年の開学に向けて準備が進められています。
同大学院大学は、教員及び学生の過半数が外国人、学内公用語は英語、開設準備の助言をしている設立委員のメンバーの過半数はノーベル賞受賞者という極めてグローバルかつ高レベルな大学院大学となります。開学後は、沖縄を拠点に、日本及び世界の科学技術の発展に大きく貢献することが期待されています。(当該大学院大学の詳細については、同機構のウェブサイトをご参照ください。)

EZI to Support the Search for the President of Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology
Tokyo, Japan, August 24, 2009 -- Egon Zehnder International Co., Ltd. (Tokyo office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; hereafter, "Egon Zehnder") is pleased to announce that the Firm has been selected to support the search for a president of the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (hereafter, “OIST”).
OIST will be established based upon the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology School Corporation Act enacted on July 10th, 2009, and aims to become a truly global graduate university promoting world-class research and education in science and technology in Okinawa. Currently, the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Promotion Corporation (hereafter “OIST PC”) is preparing for the establishment of the university in 2012.
OIST will be a distinctly international and high-level university with more than half of the faculty and student body being non-Japanese, and with the official campus language being English. Furthermore, half of the OIST Establishing Members are Nobel Laureates. Based in Okinawa, OIST aspires to make a significant, tangible contribution to the advancement of science and technology in Japan and around the world. (Please see OIST PC's Website for details.)
In order to successfully establish OIST, a world-class leader will be appointed to assume the critical role of the president. Egon Zehnder has been selected by OIST PC to be its search partner for this important mandate because of Egon Zehnder’s high quality service, hiring credentials and reputation within the academe and research sectors around the world.
